I’ve never even heard of this. I must be living under a rock. Why the hell would anyone want to bomb the moon?
Search for water+ice
Basically what they did was they set the bomb in.
It asploded on the moon.
Then a spacecraft flew into, like the plume of dust and nasty crap. Too look for water.

3cm a year in space is like going to your neighbors house over the span of 3 centuries.

It’s not as damaging as it sounds. It’s like throwing a pebble in a small well to see if there’s water at the bottom by looking for a splash.

Now would probably be a good time to mention that I’m kind of against space colonization. But I’m just a morbid person who would rather see humanity stuck here to die in the mess it made then see it flaunt happily into the galaxy without consequence. When it reaches the point that the sun is getting close to crapping out on us and we have no other choice, I may be in favor of leaving it, even though the idea of the human race continuing doesn’t sit well with me. But when it comes to assholes like my dad who only want to leave because of what we have done to the planet to make it hard to live here, for reasons like “because we’re overpopulated”, I want to tie them to a chair and let many forest creatures pee all over them.

I think that anyone that wants to live elsewhere in space or space travel needs a stupidity immunity license on them at all times. They need to take 3 tests and a zero-gravity simulation.
That way, all the stupid people stay down on Earth and are screwed when the comet crashes into it.
