Participantwhy not just hack a rom?

ParticipantWaffle said: why not just hack a rom?Er, a rom is just read-only-memory. I’m assuming you’re referring to those VBA ROMs? XD
By hacking a rom, that’s only changing some values in a game made by someone else/company, you aren’t “making a new one.” This is an original game. You can’t just hack up a game, and change stuff, doesn’t work that way.
There have been people making custom games in the past, then making them into roms, which a emulator can then read, but this is a different style – it’s not the same concept as the stuff you see with VBA, which emulates the game boy.

ParticipantSorry for the faulty packaging guys. I’ve put a new download link up. Hopefully it’ll work this time.

ParticipantI couldn’t get it to launch with anything but “Game.exe”

ParticipantWow, 3 or 4 continuous battles and your starter gets owned. You might last longer if you know your Pokemon but you could probably lower the damage a bit so the player doesn’t have to heal that often.

ParticipantOr just give them 10 potions straight off the bat to help out as the trainer gets on their feet 😉

ParticipantWell, I still can’t get it to start, regardless in compatibility mode or not.

I have no idea. How’d you get Blackboy’s to start?
1 July 2009 at 01:51 #12970David
ParticipantI don’t know, it just started. I switched it to compatibility mode, and it worked. Bam. That simple.
