ParticipantArladerus yawned while stretching. The first time he had rested on a bed and pillow in about a week. He wanted to lie down and sleep until the end of time, but he knew he had more important things to do. He climbed down the stairs with a robe and boots and asked about the rumours of the city. “Do you know anythi-“
“Ah, before I let you go off, let me just tell you. I lied last night. There’s another tavern in this city, and they are damn busy. I just said that so you would pay me 50 Gold, and you did,” he said with a smirk. “Just follow the path you took to get ‘ere, and you’ll eventually come across more people, and a busier, larger tavern. Aye, good day.” And he left. The bartender knew what kind of people to scam; Arladerus was going to become a Divine Crusader, and evil thoughts, such as unsheathing his sword and slicing through the middle of the man were obviously out of the question. …
Right?
He would leave without giving the owner a little scare, at least though. He ran up the stairs, wore his greaves over his boots, strapped on his leggings, breastplate, wore his full-face helmet and pulled out his sword. He then threw all his belongings into a bag he had and trampled down the stairs, barged through the door the owner walked through to enjoy his 50 Gold, ran up to him, touching the old man’s face with the cold metal of the helmet. Just to see the look on his face.
He left the rotten building and stepped out to the familiar dusty dirty trail. He turned right, and walked towards the castle, which he assumed was the metropolitan area of the city. Arladerus took out a note that explained the details of his mission. He read the first line. “A horse will be delivered for you and will be available for pick-up. Directions: After reaching the tavern of the East Gate, continue down the path, and to your left, it will be at the end of the third street.”
As Aralderus counted the streets, he was annoyed that they had not allowed him to use his horse to journey to the city. Walking there was supposedly part of the mission and triumph. He reached the stables and examined it. The stables had five stalls; the second was empty, and the fifth contained a beautiful, healthy white horse. He recognized the stallion; everyday at the Priory of the Nine, he would walk by the stables and see that particular horse, roaming the fields and eating grass.
“Ah, I see you take interest in that white stallion. A fine bred, I must say. The years of care I put into making her into what she is now… since I have been so attached to this horse, I would have to charge you 200 gold for her.” Arladerus obviously knew that this man was trying to rip him off. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice… shame on me, he thought. He then reached into his bag, pulled out a tube-shaped container, and took out a scroll, which contained the mission briefing.
“That’s my horse,” he said. “I know you’re lying, and I don’t like it. But I won’t harm you, as long as you give me my horse.” The stable owner was stunned; he unlocked the gate without saying another word. Arladerus hopped onto the horse, and rode out of the stall. Of course, he was still grateful. Out of habit, he reached into his pocket and gave the man 5 gold coins.

ParticipantLavina quickened her pace; the sun was starting to set, and soon it wouldn’t be safe for her to walk around town. Luckily for her, she knew where she was going, and what the fastest route was. The castle was located in the center of the Vutalia, which was about 20 minutes walking distance from the Golden Lizard.
She walked the dirt roads, passing by run down homes and shops that had been forced to close down. While it was a sad sight, the tavern miraculously was still thriving in these hard times. No matter the woes of the town, alcohol and women were always a necessity. The tavern had just that.
She was approaching her destination, as she could make out the towers of the castle. It wasn’t until she got closer that she realized it would be hard to get an audience with the King. He was not one to talk to just anyone about any little matter. There was a good chance Lavina would not even make it past the Castle guards.
She shrugged it off. There was no point in going back to the tavern anyways. She continued off, now sprinting to the castle doors.

ParticipantAt the horse stable, Rebecca saw 5 horses available. Two of them were just foals, so they were definitely out of the question. As she examined each horse, she noted that one had a rusty knee cap. The other two were both designed for long-distance traveled, well-built with muscled legs. One horse, a majestic white male, was very showy, with a broad chest and flowing mane. The other horse was a dark chocolate brown with a small, short, refined head with a straight profile, and a strong, well-muscled body, featuring a broad chest and powerful, rounded hindquarters and stood about 14 hands high, definitely well-suited for travel. She decided on the latter, as she didn’t want a very noticeable and showy horse.
“23 Gold please.” the horse caretaker said. Rebecca carefully counted out the coins and handed them to the man. She thanked the man and walked to her new steed. As she approached the horse it was hesitant to allow her to mount it, but after a sugar cube or two, it came to trust the rider and stayed calm.
After being given directions to the Golden Lizard, Rebecca set off to the metropolitan city.
Rebecca stopped to rest at another village during her journey. As the local villagers watered her horse, she decided to see the sights of the village. So far, the village was rather dull, and all that differed was two mysterious figures, seemingly set on a mission. One was a woman, short in stature but obviously spunky as she talked back to her tall cloaked companion. Those two definitely stood out from the rest. Rebecca shrugged, whoever they were was not her business, she was only here to get her horse watered and then leave. She turned on her heel and walked back to retrieve her horse.
The villagers handling her horse gratefully took a gold coin as payment and even gave her a loaf of bread for her travel. Rebecca thanked them and walked her horse through the village wrapping the reins around her hand. While walking, she was feeding her horse, whom by now she decided to name Esmee, the same short woman she saw earlier ran straight into Rebecca, “Oof!”
Esmee neighed loudly and started bucking. Rebecca scowled, “Watch where you’re going!” and tended to calming her horse down.
As she patted Esmee’s mane, she watched the woman as she rubbed her temples in a childish way. She resembled Rebecca’s younger sister back at home, though this woman was obviously around the same age as Rebecca despite her looks and height. Then she noted a dagger sticking out of the woman’s boots.“Who are you?”

ParticipantAtticus blinked a few times, but then shrugged off the rudeness of Hugh.
‘I’ll remember him for later purposes… He always had looked suspicious there…’
Louis the Village Idiot suddenly stood up and took his supply of beer with him.
“It be time for me to head out. I have some business to do today…” All of the regulars stared at him.
“‘Ay Louie, was it true that you are making businesses wit’ da king?” one of the regulars spat out.
“Ah…” Louis took a pause. Even an idiot like him knew that the people around here hated the king. “Nah, bud. Yer know that tis rumors aren’t tru’, eh?”
“Just makin’ sure. I’m sure not even yer are stupid enough to do ANNNNNYYYY services for da king.” the man explained. “You’d be worse than a idiot; a wench!” Everyone in the tavern laughed at the joke. Being drunk does that.
“Yea yea, I kno’. Sorre if I made ye guys suspicious. I’ll be goin’ now!” Louis headed out the entrance in an awkward fashion.
“Man, the guy is stooped.”
Atticus decided to walk outside and see what Louis was doing.
Louis has shoved someone off a horse and stole it. He rode off quickly into the distance, where the castle looms.
‘Meeting the king, eh? You might just find a job there, Louis… And maybe you’ll pick up the chick I saw rush out. Har har har har.’ (>:3)
Fallows got his drink and starting drinking like crazy, as usual.(((Unless Connie interacts with me, Atticus is down for the count until tomorrow dayrise. He’s gonna have a hangover.)))
As Louis the Village Idiot headed to the castle, he nearly ran over some guy walking. (Hugh) Soon, he nearly ran over a shady man in a coat. (Zaneck) Luckily, they all dived out of his way.
Louis stopped, however, when he saw a pretty girl go out to the castle.
“Hey little lady, how are you doing? Why is a nice-looking lady like you heading out to the huge castle?”28 November 2009 at 22:07 #18127Gujju
ParticipantEvery young girl wished of meeting the man of her dreams ride up to her on his trusted steed. This handsome stranger’s hair would flow and his muscular arms would pull at the reigns , bringing the horse to a full stop before her, while she look at him, starry eyed.
This was nothing like that.
For one thing, this man was no stranger. It was Louis, regular at the tavern. The Village idiot as he was so graciously called by the townsfolk. Lavina had never seem him sober while working, and he was consistently making a fool of himself in a pathetic attempt to impress the other patrons at the tavern. But right now, there seemed to be a different air about him.
For one thing, he was no speaking in his usual drunken slur. Lavina pondered for a moment. She was confused. What was the village idiot doing on a horse, riding to the castle, all while completely sober sounding?
“I am requesting an audience with the King of Vutalia. But you good sir,” she said, stepping in front of the horse, glaring at Louis “I might ask what business you have at the castle as well. Are you not normally at the tavern at this hour?”

ParticipantZaneck followed her closely and was ready to confront her if needed. He turned his head sideways, as if he were looking at the houses and stores but his eyes focused on the people behind him. He recognized two people, the first being Louis the village idiot. Usually, he wouldn’t be sober at a time like this but he brushed past Zaneck in a moment. The second was the drunk man from before ogling at the same waitress from before, but there was always a chance he could’ve been after him. Before long, he realized that this path was a quick path to the castle. This aroused his suspicions even further and his need for information overtook his mind.
He looked around while quickening his pace as close to his target but as far from the young, drunk man. Soon enough, he found an alleyway which was small enough to walk into and strode into it. He swiftly climbed up using the windowsills as support for his hands, leapfrogging from one window to another and before long, he had reached the roof. From there, he looked down and watched as the village idiot and the waitress commence with their conversation, ready to continue moving as soon as their speech was ended.

Participant“Me usual duties ‘course.” responded the idiot, his breath ripening with years and years of drinking and vomiting. “Tis’ non of your business, yea?”
It took a moment for him to recognize Lavina. “Ah, if it ain’t the beauty named Lavina?” blurted out Louis in his usual loud-mouth ways. “So the king need to have a word wit’ you?” he said with a wink. “Ah, we might have a queen in da makin’ here already!”29 November 2009 at 00:52 #18130David

Lavina couldn’t help but roll her eyes in front of the costumer. She figured that since she wasn’t at the tavern, it was okay. She was however, slightly taken aback by Louis reverting back to his regular speech.
“Aye, sir. I have information that I think he would find very useful. Would you be so kind as to maybe escort me to the castle? Its awfully late, and I fear the streets are not safe for a lady such as myself”
Truth be told, the last thing Lavina wanted was to get a ride from this fellow, but it was in fact getting late, and she needed to get to the castle as soon as possible.
29 November 2009 at 02:29 #18132SirPainsalot
Participant“Aiite then. Hop on aboard.” Lavina proceeded to hop onto the stolen horse.
The horse took a pause, and galloped away to the castle, leaving the two fellows who were following her alone.
Evening was nearing to midnight as they reached the castle. The two hopped off the horse. For some reason, Louis left the horse untied and free to go. This probably meant that he always steals horses.
“Aye, we’re here. Let us hurry, for I am getin’ kinda tired.” the idiot gave out a rather large yawn.
“Knock knock knock.”
“Who’s there?”
“Silly wench, tis beer is here… er…” Louis realized his mistake, and quickly coughed loudly to avoid further suspicion. “I mean it’s Louis!”
“Oh… Yes yes yes… Bogdan has been expecting you! Come on in and bring you drinking friend with you!”
The door opened to show the glamorous jewels and furniture of the Racnyzski Castle. A few wenches led through many doorways and hallways to the King’s Throne Room, where the elegantly dressed King Bogdan sat on..
“Ah… Its Louis! I need a few drinks with me, so come along!” spoke out the King.
“Yes but I have a messenger for you!” Louis explained.
“And would that be your girlfriend?” snickered the king with a loud snort.
“Er… No it would be mah friend, Lavina!” Louis introduced Lavina.(Snail, just explain everything and the king shall respond.)

Participant“Greetings, Your Highness” Lavina said, as she bowed. This was one man she truly respected. One who was able to bring sorrow to an entire land with just a simple order.
“I understand it is rather late, but I came across some information that I thought Your Highness would be interested in. It seems the villagers are planning a rebellion of some sort. There is some sort of…society. They call themselves the Cross society. I am not very sure of how reliable this information is, but I think it would be best if Your Highness looked into at least. There is a geat risk that it could be true, in which case, ignoring it would not be wise” she explained.
Lavina looked at the King for his reaction.

ParticipantZaneck watched as their conversation had ended and as the waitress clambered upon Louis’s steed, which he considered quite odd seeing as Louis barely has enough to pay off his tabs before striking up a new one. From the rooftops, he trailed them, careful to make a careful quiet landing. After following them for a while, they arrived near the entrance of the castle. Of all the places to follow her to, this one?, the thought ran through his head as he looked down the side of the building. If he had jumped to the ground from that height, he knew he would surely lose his life. This was it, would he rather risk information on this waitresses true nature, or would he risk his life trying to get it?
He heard a loud banging noise and stood up to see the source of the noise, an old man was working on his roof tiling. He looked to the side of the building and behold, there was a ladder leading to the roof of this building. He had made his decision and didn’t waste a moment before acting upon it. He climbed down the ladder halfway before he got impatient and slid down the rest of the way. When he got down, he took off his leather glove and threw them in a random direction away from Louis and his friend. Just then, the door opened and in the doorway was none other than King Boggy(Bogdan? Boggy?). Now what connection did this mysterious waitress have with the King of this land? This was getting interesting and he didn’t want to miss a second of it.

ParticipantLouis stared at her while the king gave a malicious smirk. “Just as expected… I believe you, young lady. Well I would… If I knew the person’s name… If you don’t tell me, you shall be sent to the dungeon as a spy. What is his name?” the king spoke.
“Ayyyy! Calm down!” replied Louis.
“You shut yer mouth onless you would like to join her.” Despite him being an idiot, he did shut his mouth. No one dare to answer back against the king. “Now tell me… Who is he? -
