The Life of a Miner!

Well, I've been playing EVE Online some more, and apparantly, Mining isn't as "easy" as it usually sounds.

First off, I gotta get a ship that can mine, and mine for long periods of time.

Enter… the Badger!
6,000 cargo, 1 mining laser slot.

I upgraded though, Badger 2
10,000 cargo, 1 mining slot, 1… something else slot. Weapon slot that can't use weapon? o_o

THEN apparantly, I gotta find a good asteroid belt.
Asteroids get used up and respawn 3 times a day.
Asteroids include "Veldspar" (The biggest money maker, and most common… yay), Omber, Dense Veldspar, Scoldite, Condensed Scoldite, Plagioclase, and Ruby Plagioclase.
Once you enter a field, you gotta find an Asteroid that noones using, (most get mad if you mine their asteroid) and then mine!
Sounds simple at first, but no…
RATS!
Hostile, NPC, punks who come in and blow stuff up!

Lots to choose from.

Those other beams in the back are from someone's mining barge, using strip miners. I'm trying to upgrade to that… calculated, probably will take me 1-2 weeks.
On top of that, with my current cargo room, and mining laser.

It takes about… oooohh… 1-2 hours to get a full load of ore.
Then I refine it, then sell it!

Which, if full, will probably net me a good 1.2mil
The mining barge I want, costs about… 20mil.
And then 3mil more for the strip mining lasers.

EDIT – Bleh… clicked Submit early.

So anyways, i got alot of mining to do…
Maybe if I upgraded salvage, I can salvage those wrecks for added bonuses!
