WORST DAY OF MY LIFE!

By In Uncategorized

Sometimes people have bad days.

Sometimes those bad days can turn into a bad week.

Sometimes that evolves into a bad month.

Luckily, my luck isn't bad enough to ruin a whole month for me.

It all started when I rode my bike to the store to look at some body spray prices. I'm kinda low on money, and my mom isn't here to give me any so I needed to be prepared.

I was just about to cross a major intersection when I see a middle aged lady drop her bag of groceries.
Being the gentleman I am, I got off my bike and helped her. She thanked me and offered to make tea. I politely declined, because if I was to stop what I was doing, I'd probably forget. She said the least she could do was pay me.
My greed senses tingled. But I said no. Despite that she gave me a dollar. And then she left.

I pulled out the rest of my coins and did a quick count up. $3.75. 🙂

I was feeling proud. I got back on my bike and continued my journey.

When I got to the store, I noticed I didn't bring my lock and chain for my bike. Swearing and looking for an alternative. I took out the laces out of my brand new Nike Dunks (high tops too)

And tied them around a pole. I'd only be like 5mins or so so it should be enough. My shoes are like slippers now, but I walked into the store.
After I was done, I came out and of course. My bike was long gone. My shoe laces lay on the floor where my bike used to be.

I spent another 25mins lacing up my shoes. And then started walking home.

My iPod then decided to die on me. Leaving me in silence.

I stepped in a huge puddle, soaking my left foot.

Then I reached the same major intersection I was at just before. I pressed the button and waited.
There was a pause in traffic and no cars were around. So I got impatient and crossed anyway.

As soon as I reached the other side, a police officer stopped me. (It's part of the bike police. Supposed to help catch people on foot.)

He then wrote me a ticket for Jaywalking.

Now I have to pay a 37$ fine.

Almost 16 and I already have my first ticket. I feel so grown up.

FML.

So you basically tied your bike with some string? Not the best decision to make Mike, I must say 😛

Nass 19 March 2010 Reply

There was no bushes. I was at at strip mall.

But I don’t give a shit about my bike right now. It’s this fucking 37$ fine

Arladerus 19 March 2010 Reply

Isn’t the bike worth more than $37?

Nass 19 March 2010 Reply

Yeah but it I barely use it so I don’t really care

If I were you I’d carry the bike with me. Stores let you do that. Well, the ones that I went to when I did that.

Jaywalking is such a stupid law. We don’t have it in the UK. I don’t see how it’s dangerous to cross a road if there’s no cars.

Agreed. Playing frogger as you cross at a place not designated for crossing is one thing, but crossing when no cars are coming and getting a ticket for it is stupid. Of course, in college, everywhere is treated as a crosswalk. It’s basically cross when you feel like it and cars stop.
