Just to spite him.
Long time no blog, eh?
Sucks.
I’ve been pretty busy this summer. The first half I was busy taking a god-awful English for Engineers class while working full time. The second half I was busy working full time during the week and going to Charleston for the weekend.
Charleston is the biggest city I’ve spent an extended amount of time in. I’ve driven through some decently large cities, but never stayed for very long. It was pretty cool to me to hang out in a city where everything is within a 20 minute walk. My college is like that, but it’s only a small portion of the city it’s in. Anyways, big city, fun stuff.
I also got to go to the beach a lot, what with me being right there, and while I’m sure you’re all getting your hopes up for shots of me showing off my incredibly beautiful upper body, they’re not coming, so you can accept your crushed hopes and dreams right about now. Anyways, beach, fun stuff.
As always, I’ve got some stuff going on with various ladies, but it’s complicated and in case you haven’t noticed I’m not big on going into detail about that sort of stuff. Anyways, girls, fun stuff.
Games
Aside from the constant Minecraft, I’ve recently finished Assassins Creed.
I’m a bit behind the curve, I know. The game was pretty good overall. The stealth kills never got old. Running up on a rooftop archer from behind and taking him down silently is just so satisfying.
HOWEVER.
Holy shit did they overuse game mechanics. Every single assassination mission except for the last two featured the same monotonous build up. It got old after the first three missions.
Anyways, now I’m on to Arkham Asylum, and man, what a game. Honestly, it feels like a mix between the amazing Spiderman 2 from last generation and the classic Zelda series. Lots of puzzle solving and using new gadgets to solve puzzles, but it also gives you the ability to do things your own way, especially when it comes to stealth kill situations. They also do a good job of mixing up the generic henchmen fights by throwing in random specialty characters who might have knives or stun guns or regular guns. The game really uses the map and layout well. The entire game takes place in the equivalent of 4 or 5 Zelda dungeons, but constantly changing enemy layouts and items/scenarios make the same room work completely differently depending on whether you’re having to stealth kill a dozen guys with guns or save a hostage.
I’m on the last third, and I’m relishing every moment.
Looking toward the future
Shit, typing that made me feel like I was making another presentation for work.
School starts again on the 17th. That means I have all of a week and a half to relax. Nonetheless, I feel like I’ve done more cool stuff this summer despite working than I did the last two summers combined. Surrounding myself with adventurous people has definitely helped, as I tend to be the guy who’d rather stay in and watch a movie or something, but ends up enjoying whatever stuff we actually go try.
E.G. Rock climbing!
Yes, that wall is angled like that. Yes, I did climb all the way to the top of the 100 foot wall. Yes, it’s pretty easy compared to the shit the pro guys were doing. No, it doesn’t make me feel any less bad ass for completing it. Cheeze, this QoTW is mine.

Dude, you got rocking abs and get all the ladies– that’s enough to spite me.
I’ll like this, but Cheeze has this in the bag. Inactivity is a bitch
Don’t believe in yourself. Believe in the Tarheel who believes in you!

Gunbuster+Diebuster are both better then TTGL by a couple thousand parsects.
Cheeze: Plays games and smokes weed errday
Tarheel: Has big biceps and gets women
I think your QoTWs are on the same level.

They might very well be. I’ve never seen them. I can appreciate the awesome satire in TTGL though.
Because showing your ass on an absurd-looking rock climbing wall that looks like it was built for ninjas is easy.
Handhold size is so much more important than wall angle. I could do a horizontal wall upside down with big enough handholds. On the other hand, I couldn’t get halfway up a vertical wall because the handholds were literally the size of a lemon chopped in half.
Picture not of my ass:
happy?

Do it, watch it now. Both are 6 episode OVAs so it’s a short watch. You’ll see where TTGL took some of its roots from. Giant robot crossing its arms? Came from Gunbuster.

You must have good hand-eye coordination, because I’d probably drop and land on my head on a wall like that (and not just because I’ve never scaled a rock-climbing wall before).
I considered down- voting for mah boy Cheeze. But that isnt nice. 🙂
POOO school. But I am secretly excited because I get to quit my job and I am permitted a social life with weekends again.

That’s what the lovely harness is for.
@Gujju: Between school and a part time job and clubs, I actually have less free time during the school year. :/
I work full time, but it’s a retail job, so my I have been spending my entire weekends working. My days off fall on weekdays, and everyone else works like a normal person, so I dont get to do much of anything but play on my PS3 XD During school I worked part time but we just hung out after classes were over because our campus was downtown, tons to do.

Eh, I’m the kind of person that could wrap himself up in bubble wrap and still inexplicably hurt himself.
